Easy Offices is the largest independent online global office solutions provider with a portfolio of over 3,500 properties worldwide. The business is entirely online and integrated with property databases and CRM Systems.

Challenge

Easy Offices operate in a highly competitive market where SEO and effective Google advertising is crucial to success. In late 2007 it was decided that Fusionworkshop carry out a comprehensive research and analysis project to clarify online strategy and provide a clear route forward in order to accommodate changing business needs. It would need to ensure that the business would continue to be well served in the longer term including being able to leverage Web 2.0 type features, deliver content to mobile devices and ensure that the property databases were able to provide content to other sites via a well considered Web Service Gateway. Integration with an enterprise CRM was seen as essential, as was ensuring that existing investment in SEO was preserved.

Approach

Easy Offices’ website has been through a number of iterations with Fusionworkshop adopting the initial site and databases. Subsequent development projects improved the initial system which along with a fully managed hosting service has improved the performance and availability of this business critical web application. The business and systems analysis activities have provided Easy Offices with a clear development and migration roadmap. It identifies where existing databases and web applications can be reused and also what architecture characteristics will guarantee that their long term business needs are met. Many of the findings and recommendations are based on accepted best practices, tiered architecture and Web Services.

Results
