Cardiff University Procureweb
Procureweb is a Cardiff University-based agency offering
centralised procurement services to Higher and Further education
institutions across the UK.
As a trusted Procureweb framework contractor for Cardiff
University, Fusion Workshop has been engaged in a
consulting project to assess feasibility of a single sign-on
gateway for over 60 websites using Shibboleth for authentication.
Fusion Workshop have provided consultancy, a proof of concept
prototype and full recommendations.
The application authenticates users via a number of methods
including Shibboleth or the Secure Gateway. The application also
has tools for administering Users, Groups and Sites and for
Importing lists of users. The development project will deliver a
Secure Single Sign-On Gateway, User Group Membership functionality
and support the Shibboleth Gateway.
