Mudiad Ysgolion Meithrin (MYM) aims to give every pre-school child in Wales the opportunity to benefit from early years experiences through the medium of Welsh. The organisation has headquarters in Aberystwyth with other offices throughout Wales.

MYM needed an updated web site to help improve external client and stakeholder communications. It also had a number of internal initiatives that required an intranet to streamline a number of key back office administration processes.

The web site project had three main objectives; to refresh the design and bring it up to date, to implement a Web Content Management System and to add functionality to enable visitors to find details of the organisation's 200+ schools.

The intranet project provided a number of features to give access to information to over 1,600 staff across the organisation's offices and home workers throughout Wales. New administrative tools were implemented to save time and cut paper usage by making the tools available throughout the organisation.

Staff and parents can keep up to date via home computers, through which details of the programmes of every nursery are available at the touch of a key. The programme has been designed using different levels of encryption to meet all the legal regulations on information and data protection. Development of the site had replaced a massive paper trail and helps organisers keep up to date and move quickly.
