Ecommerce

Seamless integration with payment gateways for online transactions.

Most larger organisations need elements of ecommerce for their websites, whether to buy tickets, take out membership or book events or accomodation. Each type of transaction requires a secure integration with the relevant line of business system via the API.

Some of the ecommerce functionality we have built for customers includes:

  • Buying tickets - for Wales Millennium Centre and Royal & Derngate
  • Joining and renewing membership - for IOSH, Alarm and NCMA
  • Paying for goods - for Flying Brands
  • Booking events - for Mansion House

To deliver this we've integrated with a number of payment gateways, including:

  • SagePay
  • Barclays ePDQ
  • HSBC
  • Worldpay
  • NetBanx
  • Secure Trading

Where there is ecommerce functionality, an analysis of web statistics can provide valuable insight into user behaviour and how this affects KPIs. In  the case of a major venue, an analysis and enhancement of the booking process lead to a 60% uplift in the number of bookings completed.

Use of advanced CMS functionality, such as Sitecore's Digital Marketing System (formerly Online Marketing Suite) allows reporting and analysis of these key metrics. Ecommerce is also a natural area to make use of Sitecore's ability to run advanced A/B tests to refine checkout processes.
